High-pressure monitoring and extension cables are used to establish a connection between the syringe pump and
patient, and for the extension of medical tubing. These lines can be used for procedures such as Angiography and
Arteriography. They also measure the central venous pressure (CVP). For intravenous injection procedures, for adults,
children, and neonates, it is recommended to use in-line pressure monitoring to prevent complications such as the
unintended release of the infused chemical fluid into the surrounding tissue. The intravenous (IV), pressure monitoring alerts
the medical practitioner to any blockages or leakages. This allows them to take the necessary steps to minimize the damage
caused by the chemicals. Extension Line and pressure monitoring are typically made from medical-grade PVC and fitted with
male/female Luer locks.
